This year the annual Party for the Planet will be held at Two Guns Distillery on Tuesday, April 21st, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm.  Our community has made a lot of great movement toward environmental sustainability.  It’s time to celebrate and get inspired for more to come.

Nominate a 2014 Green Champion: Do you know someone that deserves a big ol’ community pat on the back?  Somebody who has been working hard for the environment and our community?  If you do, the Cloud City Conservation Center needs your help!  A great way to thank community members for making our mountain community cleaner and greener is to nominate them for a 2014 Green Scene Award. Help us honor Leadville’s deserving individuals, businesses, or groups.  Nominations will be accepted for a Green Champion, Energy Ninja and Waste Warrior.

On Earth Day, Leadville’s business community will will show it’s commitment by donating 20% of proceeds to the Conservation Center.  Shop at the following businesses to give to the environment on earth day: City on a Hill, High Mountain Pies, Leadville Outdoors, Melanzana, Thank you Leadville!
