No longer will you have to horde your recycling, thanks to two grants that Lake County and Cloud City Conservation Center worked to receive this year, for a total of $200,000 One recycle drop-site will be located on old Harrison Avenue, behind the baseball field (north of the library). The other location is still being discussed, but will be accessible for the southern end of Lake County. Drop sites will accept separated cardboard, plastic, aluminum, glass and paper. In six months time, the County is considering adding a Pay-As-You-Throw trash drop as well.
This is all part of a larger plan, which includes increasing recycling revenue at the recycling center and landfill, as well as storage and processing capabilities.
