Everything you do matters. Become a part of Leadville’s environmental movement.
Membership is free, but you have to do something. Cloud City Conservation Center members commit to four hours of environmental service annually.
What counts as environmental service? Anything above and beyond your day-to-day good habits that makes a positive impact on the environment. For example:
- Set up a permanent recycling system at your work.
- Start a compost bin at home.
- Volunteer for a C4 zero waste event.
- Volunteer with C4’s Waste Warriors Watch to monitor a Lake County recycling drop-site (see sign up slots below).
- Switch out all your incandescent light bulbs at work or home.
- Make your next party a zero waste event.
- Help a friend insulate and air sealing their home.
- Pick up trash and recycling along your favorite trail.
- Attend a Lake County Open Space Initiative meeting.
- Volunteer at the Lake County Community Clean-Up
