Radon

January is National Radon Action Month.  Why test your home for radon?  Radon is a radioactive gas found in many areas that can enter homes and is one of the leading causes of lung cancer among non-smokers.  Colorado in general has especially high levels of radon because of our soil type.  The Colorado Department of Pubic Health and Environment has reported higher than EPA recommended radon levels in average Lake County home tests.  Test your home now!

Cloud City Conservation Center, the Lake County Environmental Health Office, and Energy Smart Colorado are here to help.
