The Party for the Planet is This Friday

Join us from 5-7pm on April 22nd for the annual Party for the Planet, a celebration of Leadville and Lake County’s efforts to be inspiring stewards of our environment.  The Award Ceremony and Party will take place at Harperrose Studios, 601 Harrison Ave.  The party will include live music (Groovespeak) and food.  It is free for members, $5 for non-members; don’t worry, you can become a member at the door.

Don’t forget to shop for us!  (But only for things you need, that are made well and will add value to your life.)  The following businesses have pledged 15-20% of their Friday proceeds to the local environmental programs, so get out and support these local businesses on Earth Day:  Cookies with Altitude, City On a Hill, Melanzana, Harperrose Studios, High Mountain Pies, Community Threads, Cycles of Life, and Leadville Outdoors.

The Lake County Solar Garden sold out. But if you are a Lake County resident you are in luck!

Yes, the Solar Garden is sold out.  But if you are a Lake County resident, the County has panels in reserve that you can still purchase.  Contact the Clean Energy Collective to reserve panels.  Construction is underway and should be completed in the next couple months.  Who has purchased most of the panels?  Lake County Government, Park County Government, Parkville Water and Moosehaven HOA.  Residential Lake County customers make up 5% of the array.  We would like to raise this number and the County has reserved the panels to do it, so get signed up today!
